Dues Schedule EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2007 BUSINESSES: The rate for all employers, except as specified below in special categories, is calculated according to number of full-time equivalent employees in order to provide an affordable and equitable opportunity to all organizations.
NEW BUSINESS RATE: $145.00 for companies with 1-10 employees that have been in business for two years or less. After one year at this rate, regular rates apply.
FARMS: $145.00 for independent small farmers.
BANKS/SAVINGS & LOANS: $15.00 per million in deposits OR the base rate of $205.00 whichever is larger.
GAS, ELECTRIC, PHONE UTILITIES: $.07 per meter or service.
HOTELS/MOTELS: $205.00 plus $2.00 per room, plus $50 for a restaurant.
NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION: $90.00 for non-profit organizations, except as specified below under Education and Government.
EDUCATION & GOVERNMENT: $205.00 per organization for state, federal and local governmental agencies and for public and private schools, colleges and universities.
MOBILE HOME PARKS: $205.00 for the first twenty (20) units, plus $2.00 each for the next ten (10) units and $1.00 each for any additional units.
PROFESSIONAL FIRMS & ASSOCIATES: Professional firms, such as medical, legal, dental, insurance, accounting, real estate and others, pay the applicable per employee amount. For non-employee professionals affiliated with the member firm, the rate is $100.00 per associate membership.
INDIVIDUALS: $100.00 for individuals not associated with any business.
PRIMARY CONTACTS & ASSIGNMENTS: Each company will have one primary contact to which official Chamber mailings will be sent. Additional individuals, or assignments, may be designated by the member for each multiple of the base rate paid beyond the initial base. Assignments will be added to the list for general membership mailings, such as newsletters. (For example: A company with 100 employees, paying $865.00, would be entitled to designate three assignments in addition to the primary contact.)
TAX DEDUCTIONS: Buyer' s Guide listings and membership investments may be tax deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense. Membership dues are not a charitable tax deduction for federal income tax purposes. The Chamber is not a charity, but serves as a membership association and advocate organization for area businesses. |
