2009 ANNUAL SAFETY AWARDS

The
Zanesville-Muskingum County Safety Council is a division of the
Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce and is sponsored in
conjunction with the State of Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, Division
of Safety & Hygiene. It is the goal of Safety Council to increase safety
awareness in the workplace. Developing and maintaining a safe workplace is
no easy task and this is why it must be a combined effort of local
businesses and the community. Members of Safety Council participate in an
annual safety campaign in which accident statistics are used to determine
eligibility for safety awards. Awards are presented to those companies with
the highest safety records.
GROUP AWARDS - given to the company that has the lowest incident rate
in each group.
