Economic Outlook Event a Success

The annual Economic Outlook event was held on October 29 by the Muskingum Growth Partnership.  One hundred and fifty people attended and 15 companies and organizations provided trade show style exhibits.  Speakers were Matt Perry of Genesis Healthcare System, Bob Lyons of the Bilco Company and Dr. Chris Moberg of Ohio University.  You can view a brief video recap of the event here which was donated by chamber member Hasseman Marketing and Communications.

The Chamber is very pleased to introduce a new service, which as a member you will receive free.  This new service is an expanded online listing for your business, almost like your own web page, within this website, zmchamber.com.  It can contain a description of your business, up to 8 photographs, a link to your own website or email, and your business contact information.  The exact content will be totally up to you.  To see an example, go to the Membership Directory button on the menu at the top of this page, then go to the online directory and search for Chamber of Commerce.  Click on our listing and you will see an example of what you can now put together for your own business.  To get started, contact Kathy Hollins at the Chamber at khollins@zmchamber.com for complete instructions and your unique user name and password.

CHAMBER & MVHRMA PARTNER UP!
 The Chamber of Commerce and the Muskingum Valley Human Resource Management Association (MVHRMA) recently announced they have joined forces in what is expected to be a positive and mutually beneficial partnership. As an affiliate organization of the Chamber it is expected that MVHRMA, also affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) will enjoy increased awareness of the organization within the community, as well as increased membership and meeting attendance.  It is also expected that the new relationship will reduce costs and provide availability to a wider resource of speakers and programs for its membership. The Chamber is confident that the affiliation with MVHRMA will offer its members access to a network of human resource professionals which is particularly beneficial to small business owners.
