Kelly Ashby serves as the Vice President of the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce.

As Vice President, Ashby is responsible for marketing and promoting Muskingum County as a tourist destination through the convention and visitors bureau and working on various downtown revitalization projects.

Ashby is past president of the Ohio Travel Association – she served as President in 2003 – the Year of the Ohio Bicentennial. Ashby also served on the Public Relations Advisory Board for the State Department of Travel and Tourism, the Ohio Tourism Roundtable and on the State Board for the Ohio National Road/All American Scenic By -Way.

Locally, she has served on the board of the United Way and served as United Way Campaign Chairman for the 2010 Campaign. Ashby is a past board member of the Carr Center, and has served on the Family Y Women of Achievement Steering Committee, she is currently a member of Noon Rotary, Past President and current member of the Beaux Arts Club, serves as the Public Relations Chair for the “Art in the Garden”, member of the Academic Fund Advisory Committee for Zanesville City Schools and serves on the Marketing Committee for the Zanesville Museum of Art. She is Past President of the Zanesville High School Soccer Boosters. Previously Ashby has served on the Advisory Committee for Muskingum Area Technical College’s (now Zane State) Travel and Tourism Program, the Safari in the Wilds Planning Committee, Muskingum County Community Foundation Council, the Citizen’s Advisory Committee for the City of Zanesville Block Grant program, the Genesis Advisory Board, Big Brothers Big Sisters Board of Directors and Co-Chair of the 2006 Operation Feed Campaign and Chair of the 2007 and 2008 Operation Feed Campaign. Ashby is an active member of Brighton Presbyterian Church where she has served on Session and as a Deacon.

Ashby is a recipient of the Grover Cleveland Outstanding Alumni and Wilson Elementary School’s Outstanding Alumni Award as well as a recipient of the Mary Vashti Jones Funk Business Award through the Family Y Women of Achievement.

She is a lifetime resident of Muskingum County and a 1986 graduate of Zanesville High School and 1990 graduate of Ohio University – Athens where she obtained a BS in Journalism. She resides in Zanesville with her husband Greg who is a Senior Vice President at North Valley Bank. Together they have three children - Andrew, Madison and Benjamin.
