Who we are
The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is a business organization that represents and advocates for our community of local businesses.
Our Mission
The mission of the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is to create a regional environment conducive to business growth and development; to promote the economic, civic, and social interests of the area; and to foster and serve a strong, active membership.
Organizational goals
- Workforce Preparedness & Education
- Exploring and identify workforce development needs of local businesses
- Communicate with educational institutions regarding the needs of our local industries
- Collaborate with Zanesville-Muskingum Port Authority and Ohio Means Jobs-Muskingum County
- Partner with the Muskingum Valley Human Resource Management Association to provide business managers and HR professionals with educational information and professional development opportunities.
- Legislative Advocacy
- Identity and advance the legislative issues, and initiatives to create a pro-business environment
- Host annual Legislative events which allow our members to directly communicate with City, County, State and National level officials
- Partner with industry specific groups, i.e., National Association of Manufacturers, Ohio Restaurant Association,etc.
- Community Development
- Coordinate efforts with the Zanesville-Muskingum County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Zanesville Muskingum County Port Authority, and the Zanesville Downtown Association
- Maintain and enhance relationships with local community service agencies to enhance the quality of life and employment stability in our community
- Maintain a solid environment for economic development by promoting attractive local incentives
